Triple bill of 1970s horrors directed by Bob Clark. In 'Black Christmas' (1974) a group of sorority sisters begin receiving disturbing phone calls from a man they call 'The Moaner' who, once angered, threatens to kill them all. The police are initially dismissive of their fears despite the disappearance of one of the girls. Unaware of how close the caller really is, the girls are unprepared as he comes for them one by one. 'Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things' (1972) follows a troupe of travelling actors who are forced to indulge their disturbed leader Alan (Alan Ormsby)'s desire to perform a voodoo ritual in a cemetery. At first it appears to have been an elaborate prank but soon the forces of evil cause the dead to rise from their graves, hungry for human flesh, and the actors must fight for their lives. Finally, in 'Deathdream' (1974) American soldier Andy Brooks (Richard Backus) is fatally wounded while serving in Vietnam but manages to find a way to stay among the living, fulfilling the promise he made to his mother that he would come home. He begins to display strange and violent behaviour and it soon becomes clear that he needs human blood to rejuvenate his decaying body.
